Many YouTube users over the years have been complaining about some of the changes that YouTube has made to their site. Most of these complaints began not long after YouTube was purchased by Google back in 2006. After listening to the many and various complaints regarding YouTube, I decided it was time for us to make a change together. There is no reason why YouTube/Google should be allowed to retain it's status of largest video hosting site, or to make loads of money from advertising, if it isn't the best one out there for us. The reason YouTube enjoys the title of largest video hosting site, is because at one time, they were the best there was. Naturally, because of how superior it was then, people flocked to it because of the many benefits it offered over other video hosting sites. Today however, it seems the only reason anyone stays with YouTube is because they have the largest audience, not the best policies. It is time for that to change. If YouTube/Google values cutting deals with big business, more than they value providing the people with an open, honest, and free environment to express themselves then that's perfectly alright. They can keep big business, and all it will cost them is the bulk of the YouTube community ever having anything to do with their website again. This of course translates to costing YouTube/Google BIG BUCKS, and the people finding a new home that they will be much happier with than the crumbling one they feel chained to today. On Saturday May 30th of 2009, the community will be packing up their accounts, and packing up their content to move into our new home together. We aren't sure where it will be just yet, but we are certain there is no shortage of other sites that would be thrilled to recieve the bulk of us, making them number one video hosting site over YouTube. On that day, we will be either closing our accounts with YouTube/Google or simply removing all our videos except one, which will simply be there to let others know where we have migrated to. So thanks for the good times YouTube, we had a lot of fun together, but you're just not right for us anymore. The following video outlines just a few complaints people have with YouTube, as well as some of the upcoming changes YouTube is making. The creator of the video calls for certain courses of action like demanding YouTube go back to the way it was many years ago. Let's face it though folks, once a company becomes more concerned with catering to big business than catering to the people, it's pretty much impossible to have them turn back around with all that money they're taking to the bank and say to you, "oh yeah, you guys are right...we should put people before profits!"
